Adopt Alma

Alma joined us in 2020, after suffering an eye injury, which meant she lost all sight in her right eye. She loves to climb rocks and wait patiently for her fish to be delivered straight to her beak. She’s not a big fan of water and might often look clumsy whilst swimming. From the beginning, she was a very brave puffling, not showing any fear towards humans. She is now one of the heaviest birds that we have, and we now suspect that she might be male based on her weight. It is very hard to distinguish puffin genders unless you do a DNA test, but males are generally bigger than females. Some days, Alma will eat more than 120g of fish - which is ¼ of her weight!
