Jarvis has never seen the world around him. With your help, we could change that.
Jarvis is a much-loved resident at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Since he was rescued in 2016, he has lived with cataracts in both eyes, meaning he has never seen the faces of the people who care for him or the other seals he shares his home with.
But blindness has never stopped Jarvis from being Jarvis. He’s playful, cheeky and full of personality, navigating his world using his other senses and the incredible support of his dedicated care team.
Now, there is hope.
Specialist veterinary surgeons believe cataract surgery could give Jarvis the chance to see for the very first time.
Imagine the moment he opens his eyes and sees the world around him — perhaps his favourite people, his fellow seals, or even his own reflection.
But making this possible comes at a significant cost.
We need your help to give Jarvis the gift of sight.
The surgery, specialist veterinary care and rehabilitation will cost around £7,800 per eye.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help bring Jarvis one step closer to experiencing something most of us take for granted: the gift of sight.
Your support could help fund his surgery and the specialist care he'll need before, during and after the procedure.
If you're unable to donate, you can still make a huge difference. Please share Jarvis' story with your friends, family and community and help us spread the word.
Together, we can give Jarvis the chance to see the world for the very first time.
Let's help Jarvis see!
